    Another Year has gone by.

It is almost 2009.  I don't like the sound of 2009.  It is hard to shift from 2008 to writing 2009.  Every year the number changes, and it does not change easy to my hand when I write the year.  My son brings home an agenda from school that I have to sign every day.  Plus his teacher has a little report paper weekly that I have to sign and date.  Now I will have to write 2009.  Just think about it, in about 80 years they will look back to the good old days of 2009.  They will say what was life like back in the 2009 years.  Life has changed in the last 100 years.  Changed a lot.  Heck it has changed a lot in the last 40 years.  I remember when I was 10 we got a TV.  TV's came out before that but my parents must not have liked change.  My Mom does not even have a computer.  I love the computer.  Life was not easy at work without a computer.  I love technology.  Have a wonderful New Year's Eve.  I am just going to watch TV.

I have a little problem writing the new date also, but it doesn't happen until 3 or 4 months into the year and I've let down my guard. A more embarrassing one is that I can't sign my own name and talk at the same time. I learned that when I was blathering away and started signing "Charles ..." I have no Charles in my name and as far as I know, none of my family does either. I quit trying. Happy New Year (whether it's aught '8 or 'aught 9.)

    Peace, Doc

It seems like 2008 just got started--like I just got used to saying "2008" and writing "2008." But I am glad it will be 2009 because that's one year closer to 2010, which is the year when my personal loan will be paid off. Another step closer to being debt free.

Hi Connie -- thanks for stopping by. Yes, it's a little more difficult to comment and read now, isn't it? I wish blogs would open in a new window as they used to - made it much easier.

anyway- have a good new year, even if it's a pain in the arse for you to write it *laugh*
